Smita Barve a qualified Advocate with over 20 years of experience and has mastered in Land Laws, having sound knowledge of MOFA, RERA and MCS Act, 1960, covering all facets of real estate industry ranging from commercial, residential, industrial, agricultural lands and estate properties. She has sound and up to date knowledge of relevant Commercial Laws, Civil Laws, Property Laws and Land Laws, and its applicability in commercial transactions with very good co-ordination and communication skills and rapport with solicitor firms and counsels.

Smita’s major area of work involves conducting legal due diligence, vetting various commercial contracts, Revenue matters and procedures, Drafting MOUs, Agreements, Conveyance Deeds, Joint Venture Agreements, Development Management Agreements, Limited Liability Partnership Deeds, Business Conducting Agreements, Deeds of Guarantee, Sureties, Leave and License Agreements, Lease Deeds, Mortgages, Power of Attorney, Merger and Winding up of Companies, Partnership Deeds, POA, Preparing title reports and issuing Title Certificates, etc. both in English and Marathi.

Smita is highly experienced in Non-Litigation as well as Litigation matters. In Non-Litigation matters she has handled various property transactions for developers, societies and individuals pertaining to the lands belonging to co-operative societies, MHADA, CIDCO, charitable trusts, agricultural land, industrial plots, lease hold as well as free hold lands and also conversant with SRA and society redevelopment schemes under Slum Redevelopment Act. In Litigation matters her core competency is in drafting and issuing Legal Notices and Legal Proceedings, handling litigation matters related to properties and also conducting hearings before Charity Commissioner, Consumer Court, Co-operative Court, SDO, City Survey Office.
